The reasons that electrode prematurely wear in the ferronickel closed submerged arc furnace

 

Once a customer in domestic asked us a question about electrode paste. Their electrode wears prematurely in the closed arc furnace, what is the reason? Our CEO and technician went to the production site of ferronickel.

After checking the production site, our technician conclude two reasons:

1. The volatile matter of the electrode paste is way too high. Therefore, when producing the electrode paste, we have to pay attention to the volatile matter and adjust the raw materials ratio.

2. The quality of electrode paste is way too bad. For their ferronickel production, it will need ECA to produce the electrode paste final goods. But instead, they used the GCA to produce so that this lead to a high specific resistivity.

 

At present, after using our electrode paste, their production are under normal running and furnace status are good.
